Software Engineering Process Management Program
The Software Engineering Process Management (SEPM) Program researches and develops management products and services that help organizations worldwide continuously improve the performance of their processes in the areas of product and service development, maintenance, and acquisition.
Software Engineering Process Management Initiatives
The initiatives in this program provide tools and methods that enable organizations to improve the performance of their development and acquisition processes. The IDEALSM model is a tool that serves as a roadmap for initiating, planning, and implementing process improvement.
The SEPM Program also works with various standards communities to ensure that relevant standards and the SEPM's products and services align as closely as possible.
Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)
CMMI helps organizations increase the maturity of their processes to improve long-term business performance. CMMI provides the latest best practices for product and service development, maintenance, and acquisition.
The People CMM® helps organizations successfully address their critical workforce development and management issues.
Team Software Process (TSP) and Personal Software Process (PSP)
TSP and PSP provide a roadmap for organizations and individuals to follow on the road to high-performance. The TSP provides specific guidance on how PSP-trained engineers can work effectively as part of a high-performance team. The PSP provides specific guidance on how individual engineers can continually improve their performance.
Software Engineering Measurement & Analysis (SEMA)
SEMA helps software organizations improve and manage their software projects through the use of data driven decision making.
Data and customized analyses of the software engineering practices that lead to improvement can be found in the Software Engineering Information Repository (SEIR). The SEIR is a forum that allows software engineers to contribute and exchange information about their improvement activities.
