David Thompson

Director of Information Technology

Key Responsibilities

As Director of Information Technology and Security for the SEI, David Thompson is responsible for developing IT and industrial security strategies consistent with SEI’s strategic plan, and for developing operational plans to execute those strategies.

Professional Background

Prior to joining the SEI in 2004, Thompson worked for Fidelity Information Services (previously ALLTEL Information Services), a provider of managed services and IT operations to Fortune 500 companies. At FIS, he served as the Technology Services Manager, overseeing the technical teams at one of Fidelity's three data centers. The group he managed provided to Fidelity's customers a range of services, incluing systems administration and engineering, database design, development and administration, data storage management, and capacity and performance planning.
