Key Responsibilities

James Wessel is a Senior Member of the Technical Staff within the Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute (SEI). His current SEI responsibilities include support for the Army Strategic Software Improvement Program (ASSIP), an Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology ASA (ALT)-sponsored initiative. Prior to the SEI, Mr. Wessel provided software system acquisition management support within the Army Program Executive Office Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensors (PEO IEW&S) office and the Army Communications, Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC). He has been a developer and manager of Army and industry-based software systems with over 23 years of experience.
