Ray is a senior member of the technical staff at the Software Engineering Institute. He has been researching, writing, and teaching risk management at the SEI for over 17 years, after a 25-year career as an instrumentation and control designer, manufacturing process engineer, and software project manager for Westinghouse, US Steel, and Dravo Corporations. He was a co-author of the Continuous Risk Management Guidebook (Software Engineering Institute 1996), the lead author of the Software Risk Evaluation Method Description, CMU/SEI-99-TR-029, and teaches the SEI's Continuous Risk Management and Introduction to CMMI courses.
