Evaluation Dates for Software Architecture: Principles and Practices Instructor Candidates

The SEI's Instructor Evaluation Team will evaluate candidates for the Software Architecture Principles and Practices (SAPP) Instructor certification on the following dates:

Candidate SAPP Instructors must present selected training modules under the observation of an SEI SAPP Instructor Evaluation Team as part of the certification process. TSP Coach Certification Examination Is Repositioned
February 2008
Beginning in January 2008, Candidate TSP Coaches will take the SEI-Certified TSP Coach certification exam after their observation has occurred. Repositioning the exam will give Candidate TSP Coaches the opportunity to benefit from real-world coaching experience prior to taking the certification exam. An end of course exam, testing the material covered in the TSP Coach course, will be administered on the last day of the course. New SEI Certification in Measurement and Analysis Using Six Sigma

The SEI is pleased to announce a new certification for software engineering and analysis professionals to be launched this fall. The SEI's Improving Process Performance Using Six Sigma (IPPSS) course teaches concepts and best practices in data analysis. The SEI will begin certifying instructors for this course beginning this fall. More information on the course can be found at http://www.sei.cmu.edu/products/courses/p49b.html.
SCAMPI HM LA Application and Examination Cycle Now Available
September 2007
SEI Certification has established a cycle for SCAMPI HM LA applications and examinations. Applications for the SCAMPI HM LA Certification will be accepted until March 30, 2008. SCAMPI HM LA oral examinations will be conducted from October 15, 2007 to May 30, 2008. The application and examination cycles establish 8-month open periods for submitting applications and taking examinations. By limiting the open periods to 8 months, the SEI will be able to prepare resources and review materials between open periods. PSP Developer Examination Translated into Japanese
