The 2007 SEI Annual Report describes the accomplishments of the SEI during FY07
(October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2007).

AJ Awards

The AJ Awards (named for Angel Jordan, distinguished Carnegie Mellon professor, dean, provost, and SEI founding father) are a tribute to the SEI core values of integrity, excellence, and impact embodied by SEI staff.

The AJ Awards recognize those individuals and teams whose teamwork crosses organizational boundaries and whose outstanding commitment has had a significant impact on the SEI in one of the following categories: contribution, dedication, innovation, and the Director's Award for Excellence.

 

Create

Nominees for the AJ Create Award have made significant contributions toward improving the state of the art of software or systems engineering through application of innovative new technologies, practices, methods, and solutions to pervasive problems.

Recipient: Richard Linger

 

Apply

Nominees for the AJ Apply Award have had significant impact on a customer organization's ability to achieve its mission through the application of an SEI technology, recommended practice, method, or solution to a pervasive problem.

Recipient: Lisa Brownsword

 

Amplify

Nominees for the AJ Amplify Award have had significant impact on widespread, broad adoption of an SEI technology, recommended practice, method, or solution to a pervasive problem.

Nominees for the AJ Contribute Award are those whose achievements and dedication resulted in a lasting positive change to the SEI or to one or more of its constituencies.

Director's Award for Excellence

In 2002, the Director’s Office Award was presented to Dr. Angel Jordan for his devoted collaboration, advocacy and sponsorship of the SEI, for inspiring a commitment to excellence, and for his allegiance to the advancement of the SEI mission. Recipients of this award are individuals who foster interaction with the SEI and whose deeds and devotion to the SEI mission reflect the excellence of Dr. Angel Jordan.
