SEI Appraisal Program
The Appraisal Program oversees the quality and consistency of the SEI's process appraisal technology and encourages its effective use. Its four main functions include communications to the appraisal community; appraisal quality control; training, authorizing, certifying, and providing resources for Lead Appraisers and Team Leaders; and monitoring and reporting appraisal results.
SEI Appraisal Program Communications
The SEI Appraisal Program Communications includes announcements and notifications of policy as part of a strategy to keep our Lead Appraisers and Team Leaders as informed and current as possible. The notifications are now numbered for easy reference.
The CMMI for Services (CMMI-SVC), Version 1.2 model, scheduled for release in mid-March 2009, instead has been released in February 2009. Please refer to the CMMI for Services page for more information about the model and related topics. The CMMI for Services model document is available in the Publications area of the SEI website.
The 7th Annual CMMI Workshop is scheduled to be held the week of October 5-9, 2009 at the Rosen Plaza in Orlando, FL. Exact dates are still to be determined based on the workshop agenda, and the hotel’s room block is also still to be finalized. We hope that you will be able to join us for the workshop, so please watch your email for announcements and visit this site for updates in the coming months. If you have any questions or concerns about the workshop, please send a message to cmmi-workshop-info@sei.cmu.edu.

Monitoring and Reporting Appraisal Results
The SEI Appraisal Program, partnering with the process appraisal community worldwide, has developed the SEI Appraisal System (SAS). The SAS helps to oversee the quality and consistency of the SEI's process appraisal technology and encourage its effective use. The system assists the SEI Appraisal Program in its three functions: appraisal quality control; training, authorizing, and providing resources for Lead Appraisers; and monitoring and reporting appraisal results.
Appraisal results are tracked to measure the transition of SEI process improvement technologies. To find out more, see the published appraisal results Web page.
