CMMI-Based Appraisals

The Standard CMMI® Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPISM) provides quality ratings using Capability Maturity Model® Integration (CMMI) models. For a detailed discussion of the relationship of SCAMPI to CMMI, see the CMMI Appraisal Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).

For a comprehensive look at SCAMPI, see the SCAMPI V1.2: Method Definition Document.

Appraisal Requirements for CMMI (ARC) V1.2 defines essential requirements for appraisal methods when using CMMI models. SCAMPI satisfies all of the requirements for an ARC Class A appraisal method and can support ISO/IEC 15504 assessments.

SEI-Authorized SCAMPI Lead Appraisers

Looking for a SCAMPI appraiser?

The SEI licenses its partners to deliver SCAMPI appraisal services. To find an appraiser to help with your CMMI process improvement efforts, please access the Online Partner Directory. This directory offers more search features to help our customers find the right SCAMPI partner to help with their process improvement efforts.

Organizations that become SEI Partners for SCAMPI appraisal services can sponsor candidates to become SEI-authorized SCAMPI Lead Appraisers. Candidates who successfully complete the process will be authorized to train appraisal teams and lead appraisals on behalf of SEI Partner organizations.
