Announcement
The Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute (SEI) is pleased to announce the Seventh Annual CMMI Workshop for SCAMPI Lead Appraisers, SCAMPI B&C Team Leaders, CMMI Instructors, and CMMI Business Points of Contact at the Rosen Plaza Hotel on October 5-7, 2009. All candidate, authorized, and certified individuals are welcome to attend.
The Annual CMMI Workshop provides a forum for the CMMI Community to share best practices, learn of future SEI planned activities, take certification exams, and network with other SEI-authorized and certified professionals.
Agenda
The preliminary agenda for the workshop is now available. Please note that while the agenda may change between now and the workshop, the core topics for each day will remain the same. A final agenda will be posted about a month in advance of the workshop’s start date.
There may also be SEI courses held before and after the workshop for those who wish to combine the workshop with a learning opportunity. The Introduction to the People CMM class will be held September 30 – October 2. Other possible offerings may include the Acquisition and Services Supplements for CMMI v1.2, and the Introduction to Services course. Please check future scheduling and availability at SEI Education and Training.
SCAMPI LA Certification exams (including Development, Acquisition, and Services) and High Maturity Lead Appraiser oral exams will also be held throughout the week. Scheduling will depend on demand, and it will be necessary to register in advance for these opportunities. More information will be posted to these pages as well as the SEI Certification web page as dates and times are determined.
Registration
Registration for this workshop can be found in the SEI's Partner Resource Center (PRC) starting on June 5 and ending on September 25, 2009. All candidate and authorized individuals should have access to the PRC to complete their registration form. If not, please contact us by sending email to cmmi-workshop-info@sei.cmu.edu.
We ask that you check the days of the workshop and any special events that you plan to attend. Also, please let us know of any dietary restrictions or special access requirements that you may have, and be sure to enter your emergency contact information when you register. Your emergency contact can be your spouse, partner, or business associate; however, it should be someone we can contact in case of a medical emergency.
This workshop is presented at no charge to attendees. However, a fee of $300 will be invoiced to the sponsoring CMMI Partner for any registrant who fails to attend the workshop without formally canceling before September 25, 2009. It is possible to cancel your registration without assistance simply by clicking on the "Clear/Remove My Registration" button at the bottom of the registration page in the PRC.
Please remember to make your hotel reservations when you register for the workshop. The room block will only be available until September 12, 2009 or until the rooms have been sold. Making your reservations within this room block helps the continuation and success of this workshop. We appreciate your help with past workshops and look forward to it again in the future.
