Announcement

The Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute (SEI) is pleased to announce the Sixth Annual CMMI Workshop for SCAMPI Lead Appraisers, SCAMPI B & C Team Leaders, CMMI Instructors, and CMMI Business Points of Contact at the Hilton Vancouver Washington on October 27-30, 2008. Both candidate and authorized individuals are welcome to attend.

The Annual CMMI Workshop provides a forum for the CMMI Community to network, share best practices, participate in upgrade training, and learn of future SEI planned activities.

Agenda

The preliminary agenda for the workshop is now available.

Registration

Registration for this workshop can be found on the SEI's Partner Resource Center (PRC) starting on April 30 and ending on October 10, 2008. All candidate and authorized individuals should have access to the PRC to complete their registration form. If not, please contact us by sending email to cmmi-workshop-info@sei.cmu.edu.

We ask that you check the days of the workshop that you will be attending, any special events that you wish to attend, any dietary restrictions or special access requirements that you may have, and your emergency contact information. Your emergency contact should be someone whom we can contact in case of a medical emergency; for example, your spouse, partner, or business associate.

The workshop is offered at no charge to SEI-authorized and candidate SCAMPI Lead Appraisers, SCAMPI B&C Team Leaders, CMMI Instructors, and CMMI Business Points of Contact. The workshop fees are covered by our Partners' annual support fees. However, a fee of $295 will be assessed to the sponsoring CMMI Partner for any registrant who fails to attend the workshop without canceling before October 10, 2008. It is possible for you to clear your registration from our records through the PRC simply by clicking on the "Clear/Remove My Registration" button at the bottom.

When registering for the workshop, please remember to make your hotel reservations. The room block may not be available at a later date.

Hotel Reservations

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Hilton Vancouver Washington, host hotel for the Sixth Annual CMMI Workshop. By making your hotel reservations within the SEI's room block, we are able to keep our overall costs for the workshop at a minimum. This arrangement with Hilton allows us to provide the workshop to you on a yearly basis. We thank you in advance for your understanding and participation.

To make your reservations, you may either contact the Hilton by telephone at 1-360-993-4500 and mention the room block code "SEI" to get the group rate. Or, for your added convenience, you may use the links below to reserve your rooms using either the General or Government rates.

General Block rate: $115.00 single or double, $135.00 triple, $155.00 quad
Government rate: $110.00 single or double, $130.00 triple, $150.00 quad

The cut-off date for this room block rate is Friday, September 26, 2008. Please make your hotel arrangements before this date to get the SEI rate. The hotel cannot guarantee rooms at this rate after that date.

Guests booked at the U.S. government rate will be required to present their active duty or civilian government ID at the time of check-in to be eligible to receive the government rate.
