SMART is a family of techniques that will help your organization

• understand a target SOA environment in detail, including associated costs and risks of migrating to that environment
• understand a complete service-oriented system—services, consumers, environment—including risk and cost data
• select a pilot project that includes a migration strategy with an understanding of costs and risks involved
• select and create services from its systems portfolio
