Background and Themes

Software architecture reconstruction aims at presenting existing software systems at the more abstract, architectural level. Architecture reconstruction research issues include many topics, such as:

This workshop is intended for researchers in the area of architecture reconstruction to discuss their progress and explore future directions. The goals of the workshop are:

Call for participation

We would like to invite people to submit position papers in line with the themes of the workshop. Position papers are limited to 3 pages. We would like to invite all those who submit position papers to attend the workshop. The organizers will select a set of position papers and invite those authors to give a short presentation on their work. These presentations will lead to follow-on working discussions. The emphasis at this workshop will be on open discussions and exchange of views and ideas.

Workshop Organization

The workshop will be a full-day workshop with a set of sessions on various topics. We will invite a group of authors to present a short outline of their work in a particular area and open discussion will follow on that topic. Several sessions in this format will be included in the workshop. Each session will consist of a set of presentations (each presentation limited to approximately 10 mins) each of which will outline work in a particular area as a starting point for discussion on that topic. The organizers will facilitate the follow-up discussions.
