The SEI Personal Software Process is a disciplined and structured approach to software development that can be applied to many different types of projects.As an SEI-Certified PSP Developer, you have the knowledge and skills to competently deliver quality software on predictable schedules—and the SEI credentials to show your employer that you’ve got what it takes to deliver quality on time and within budget.

The PSP Developer examination is based on PSP concepts found in the PSP Body of Knowledge. Take advantage of the SEI’s extensive training resources that will complement the way you learn best:
2 Take the exam
Register for the PSP Developer exam at http://www.webassessor.com/sei. You can take the exam at one of hundreds of testing locations throughout the world.

Candidates who take exams through our online testing services providers will be notified of their scores immediately. Candidates who take exams administered via paper and pencil will receive their scores in 7-10 business days.
Upon successfully completing the exam, you will receive a welcome kit that contains your certification diploma and other information about your certification. Your name will be listed on the SEI web site in 2-3 weeks after notification is sent.
3 Agree to terms and conditions of SEI Certification
Review and complete the Certification Agreement form and send your signed form via email to certification-info@sei.cmu.edu or fax to 412-268-5758.
4 Maintain your credentials.
The SEI requires that you keep your certification up to date by participating in PSP-related activities and paying a $75 fee, both of which are required to renew your certification.

Registration Cancellation and Refund Policy
The SEI must receive all requests for cancellation/refunds in writing via letter or fax. You may fax your notice to the certification department at 412-268-5758. Cancellations may only be made by the candidate. Refunds, for examination fee only, will only be granted up to 72 hours before the previously scheduled testing day/time.
Candidates who cancel their examination registration by the appropriate date/time will be refunded their examination fee of $200. Candidates who do not cancel their exam appointments more than 72 hours before their scheduled examination forfeit their entire examination fee. The application fee is nonrefundable and nontransferable.
