SEI-Certified TSP Coach Renewal Criteria

In order to keep your TSP Coach Certification current, you must

  • Be an SEI-Certified TSP Coach in good standing.
  • Successfully lead one TSP project launch or relaunch within a two-year certification period. Your TSP Launch observation data does not fulfill this requirement.
  • Submit team data
    • For launches and relaunches
o Workbooks (top-down, consolidated, and individual)
o Questionnaires (site, project, and team member)
      o Evaluations (launch and relaunch)
o Launch meeting 1 and meeting 9 presentations
    • For all other events
      o Workbooks (consolidated and individual)
      o Monthly management reports
    • Any other supporting documentation that helps describe your
project implementation may also be submitted with the data files.
  • Successfully complete any required SEI course upgrades and exams.
  • Use upgraded materials when available.
  • Be sponsored by an SEI Partner for the TSP Product Suite.
  • Be an SEI-Certified PSP Developer in good standing.

Coaches who meet the criteria for maintaining their certification will automatically have their certification reinstated for an additional two-year period.

Coaches who allow their certification to lapse will have to do one or more of the following in order to reinstate their certification:

  • Attend training as required.
  • Retake and pass the certification exam.
  • Be observed again according to the guidelines in the observation step above.

Coaches authorized prior to September 30, 2007 will have until September 30, 2008 to complete their exam requirements (SEI-Certified TSP Coach exam and the SEI-Certified PSP Developer exam).
