How long will CMMI v1.1 appraisal results be valid and posted on the Web?

With the release of v1.2, there is a three-year maximum period of validity for SCAMPI Class A appraisals. Three years after the appraisal end date, the appraisal results will expire and become invalid based on age; however, an appraisal can become invalid for other reasons (e.g., an improper application of SCAMPI). Version 1.1 SCAMPI Class A appraisals will expire August 31, 2007 or three years after their appraisal end date, whichever is later.

What is the last date a CMMI v1.1 appraisal can be performed?

SCAMPI v1.1 appraisals cannot have their on-site period begin after August 31, 2007. During the sunset period, appraisals using a mix of the v1.1 and 1.2 CMMI models and SCAMPI appraisal method will be accepted as valid. Any appraisal using either the v1.1 model or the v1.1 method is considered a v1.1 appraisal. Any SCAMPI appraisal, whether v1.1 or v1.2, with its on-site period beginning on or after November 1, 2006, must use the v1.2 ADS.
