Word Version of CMMI V1.2 Model
The model document released in portable document format (PDF) is the official model to be used and is supported by the CMMI Steward. Further, the official format of all releases of CMMI models will be PDF. PDF is the accepted format used for all SEI documents and has been approved by the CMMI Steering Group. Further, it is the format chosen to facilitate the development of standards at both the national and international level, where there is a similar need to ensure version consistency and integrity.
However, many of you need more easily extractable model elements. While many of these features are accommodated using the PDF versions of the models, this page provides a Microsoft Word version of the CMMI for Development model:

The model provided on this Web page allow you to use selected portions of the material as needed in your process improvement environment. We included the title and copyright pages. These pages are a reminder to protect the copyright as you prepare the necessary derivatives for internal process improvement.
