The Appraisal Program oversees the appraisal quality control, including training, authorizing, certifying, and providing resources for SCAMPI Lead Appraisers. The highest quality candidates are selected and trained. Ongoing training and resources are also provided.

SEI-Certified SCAMPI Lead Appraisers (SCAMPI LAs) lead trained teams of professionals in the appraisal of one or more CMMI process areas (using information collected from presentations, documents, and interviews) to determine an organization's process capability and/or maturity level. The SEI is seeking qualified organizations to partner with or to become SCAMPI Lead Appraisers.

The requirements for qualifying to deliver CMMI V1.3 courses and SCAMPI V1.3 appraisals describe which courses, briefings, and exams you need to satisfy to be a lead appraiser.
