The Software Engineering Institute Affiliate Program provides sponsoring organizations with an opportunity to contribute their best ideas and people to a uniquely collaborative peer group who combine their technical knowledge and experience to help define superior software engineering practices.
Participation in the Affiliate Program is intended to immerse affiliates in the inquiry and exploration of new tools and methods that promise increased productivity, more predictable schedules, fewer defects, and decreased costs. In short, the time invested in the program will return dividends for many years to come.
Sponsoring organizations participate by assigning key, qualified members of their technical staffs to work with SEI staff members to identify, develop, and demonstrate improved practices for specific technology domains.
Affiliates have the opportunity to participate in meetings, public courses, and workshops at no or minimal cost to their sponsoring organizations. Courses are recommended to help affiliates acquire new skills for planning and transitioning new methods and technologies into their home organizations.
The SEI affiliate program administrator will work with your organization to determine a project schedule, the location where the work will take place, and a timetable for the affiliate's tenure at the SEI.
