Summary of Opportunity
The Performance-Critical Systems (PCS) Initiative focuses on increasing the ability of software engineers to predict, evaluate, and manage critical performance attributes of software-intensive systems.
Through the Affiliate Program, organizations may sponsor individuals to work on technical projects of interest both to the SEI and the sponsoring organization. There are a variety of opportunities to work within the Performance-Critical Systems (PCS) Initiative.
Potential Affiliates Tasks and Responsibilities
The PCS team consists of software engineering professionals who work on technical and technology management problems. Potential affiliates tasks and responsibilities within the PCS team include:
- identifying and evaluating innovative software performance modeling and software dependability technologies
- codifying technology approaches and establish engineering practices
- developing appropriate documentation and delivery media
- transitioning PCS practices into client organizations
