Now available: Interoperable Acquisition Overview workshop
Find out how to integrate program management activities, development practices, operational activities,
and sustainment into a set of practices for attaining interoperable capability across
systems of systems. Get all the details at http://www.sei.cmu.edu/products/courses/s12.html. |
Acquiring interoperable systems of systems is a highly complex activity
involving many players, including different corporations, program offices,
commercial vendors, and development teams—all of which are are rarely (if ever)
under effective control of a central authority.
Establishing sufficient coordination among these players
demands new organizational and management approaches. ISIS is establishing the context for acquisition in a system-of-systems environment that includes
- the landscape as set by laws, policies, procedures, and culture, among others
- acquisition knowledge about schedule, cost, risk, and performance and the like
- tools such as interoperability maps and simulatons
- models for specification, reasoning, and execution
We are seeking engagements with organizations that need to learn more about interoperable acquisition and programmatic interoperability. E-mail us with questions or for more information at
