You and your organization can become involved with the ISIS Intiative in several ways.
If your organization becomes an industry or government partner in Integration of Software-Intensive Systems (ISIS) Initiative work, we will develop joint work strategies to address your critical problems. We view such collaborations as mutually beneficial: you can gain from SEI ISIS Initiative experience with emerging integration approaches while we gain greater insight into the problems you face and the solutions you develop.
As a government or industry customer sponsoring work by the ISIS team, you will benefit from our experience in addressing critical problems you face in the integration and interoperations of complex software-intensive systems. Examples of our research areas include
- identifying indications of success in interoperability
- understanding optimal technologies and methods
- identifying solutions for semantic interoperability
- address organizational and programmatic issues
If your plans include acquiring and integrating COTS products, you will be interested in the Evolutionary Process for Integrating COTS-Based systems (EPIC). Opportunities for piloting EPIC are available.
Your organization can also sponsor an Affiliate or a Visiting Scientist, who will become temporary member of the ISIS team.
