    Platforms Supported
PC compatibles with minimum 386 CPU.

    Description
Workgroup members using MATE are supported with "workbenches", that integrate tools guidelines and communications at each point in a product's development cycle. The workbenches are available in three versions:

  • The Process Engineer builds process definitions and re-uses these processes to define types of work (route maps) therefore minimizing all the supported workgroups' learning curves.
  • The Planner customizes work plans and schedules and then monitors plans, and manages projects, estimates work and communicates with developers.
  • The Developer enables workgroup members to control work on multiple projects through templates, guidelines, worksteps and automated tools. Enterprise process knowledge is organized and stored in MATE's knowledge database, which contains all work process definitions including: products, worksteps, standard, templates, guidelines, and automated tool definitions and linkages.

    Description
(This may be somewhat dated as it was received in November 1992) PROCESSWISE currently comprise three main components :

PROCESSWISE WORKBENCH provides a range of business modelling tools to enable business processes to be captured, analysed and redesigned. The WORKBENCH is a high resolution graphical workstation employing an object-oriented, rules based technology. PROCESSWISE WORKBENCH provides considerable flexibility to allow individual organisations to customise for organisational or project standards and rules. This allows the business analyst to focus on the underlying business process.

PROCESSWISE INTEGRATOR brings together a unique set of object oriented tools which allow the desired process to be compiled into in an executable, co-operative work group style, process management (or enactment ) system. PROCESSWISE INTEGRATOR coordinates the business activities of the various people in the process and integrates other specialist information processing applications and data systems information systems necessary to support the process.

PROCESSWISE SERVICE comprised a range of consultancy, training and support services that underpin the essential steps of process redesign, construction and integration into live systems.

The PROCESSWISE IT framework provides the core capabilities and product set to enable a client-server based Business Process Application architecture to be developed and implemented.
