Architecture Risk Reduction Activities (SATURN 2006)

This presentation was created for the SATURN conference series and does not necessarily reflect the positions and views of the Software Engineering Institute.

This working session will focus on:

  • what architecture risk reduction activities the participants have used,
  • how much risk they think that these activities reduce (and how they measure/know this),
  • and the costs of each.

We will draw on participants experience with SEI software architecture technology but not be restricted to these. We are interested in learning of other activities that address risk reduction. For example, some might use requirements validation techniques or cost modeling techniques, or COTS evaluation techniques that could address architectural risks.
