WEBINAR
Published: June 2010
About the Webinar (1 hr: 04 mins)
In this second webinar
about SCAMPI v1.3, the SCAMPI Upgrade Team will be sharing detailed
information about the scoping and sampling process designed for the
method upgrade. This webinar will cover a broad set of topics including:
•
Determining Organizational Unit – the part of the organization to which
appraisal results apply
• Documenting Sampling Factors –
analyzing the sources of diversity in process implementation
•
Choosing an Organizational Scope – the parts of the organization that
provide data for appraisal
• Minimum Coverage Rules – how much of
which type of data are required by appraisal teams
• Performing
Trade Studies – using the combined effect of all of the above to scope
the event
The methods described help appraisal sponsors and Lead
Appraisers work within constraints for the cost of an appraisal, and
make necessary tradeoffs regarding the resource requirements of the
appraisal event and the scope of the organization affected. In order to
achieve a greater level of efficiency, without sacrificing the
credibility results, analysis of the diversity within an organization is
used instead of an arbitrary number or percentage sampling basis.
Procedures
to be implemented for SCAMPI V1.3 will be described in detail, and an
applied example is used to illustrate the way they work.
