the premier conference on software, systems, and services process
improvement, will be held in Portland, Oregon, March 21-24, 2011. On
January 28, join Gian Wemyss and Dr. Palma Buttles, SEPG North America
2011 Technical Co-Chairs, for a webinar that will provide a sneak peek
into what will be happening at the SEPG North America 2011 conference.
This webinar will introduce you to the keynote speakers, the
technical tracks that make up the conference program, and the technical
track chairs. Our speakers will discuss the many opportunities available
for professional development, learning, and networking. Find out what

About the Speakers 
Dr.
Palma Buttles is a senior member of the technical staff at the SEI and
a member of the People Capability Maturity Model® team where she
develops courses and delivers training. She assists organizations in
increasing workforce performance and capability by identifying and
addressing their critical workforce issues. Her work also includes
identifying and understanding the impact of organizational culture on
change and improvement initiatives.

Gian Wemyss is a senior member of the technical staff and the team lead for the People Capability Maturity Model (PCMM) team at the SEI. He assists organizations in successfully addressing their critical human capital issues through the use of PCMM. His work also includes the identification, development, and application of practices that result in the rapid, affordable, and sustained transition of innovative software engineering management technologies developed at the SEI. This includes work on interpretive guidance for users of CMMI®, and the development of a disciplined transition planning method for technology transition and change management practices. He has more than 15 years experience in organizing, designing and facilitating courses and workshops to help organizations develop transition plans for new and innovative technologies.
