Use and Organizational Effects of Measurement and Analysis in High Maturity Organizations: Results from the 2008 SEI State of Measurement and Analysis Practice Surveys. Many of the questions in this report center on the use of process performance modeling in organizations and the value added by that use.

2007
Understanding CMMI Measurement Capabilities & Impact on Performance: Results from the 2007 SEI State of the Measurement Practice Survey. This survey included screening question to identify respondents whose organizations develop software but rarely if ever do measurement. Questions also allow useful comparisons by CMMI maturity level.
