Sunsetting Version 1.1 of the CMMI Product Suite Planned
With the release of CMMI Version 1.2 approaching in 2006, planning for the migration of the Product Suite from Version 1.1 to 1.2 has begun. The announcement Sunsetting Version 1.1 of the CMMI Product Suite provides CMMI users with the information needed to begin planning for their migration.
The sunsetting period for CMMI Version 1.1 will commence when V1.2 is released. To allow the user community a reasonable amount of time to upgrade to Version 1.2, a measured approach will be used for retiring training and appraisal materials, with the sunset period ending on December 31, 2007.
