SEI Hosts Lecture on Key Challenges for SOA July 23

There are answers to information agility and service reuse, key challenges to enabling quality service-oriented architecture (SOA) solutions, according to author and lecturer Asit Dan, PhD, of the IBM Software Group. At the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) on July 23, 2008, 10-11 a.m., Dan will address these challenges in a free lecture entitled "Two Key Challenges in SOA: Addressing Information Agility and Service Reuse."

Dan will discuss how information services can address information agility in SOA-based solutions, providing concrete examples and describing a methodology in extending SOA solutions to address the life cycle of information services. He also will detail the key issues in achieving service reuse, and he will advocate taking a proactive position in addressing these issues by putting in place governing key aspects of service life cycle and supporting technical capabilities.

The lecture will be held in the Jordan Auditorium at the SEI, located at 4500 Fifth Avenue, in Pittsburgh, PA.
