The SEI often works to transition mature technologies and processes to the broad software engineering community, and to accelerate the adoption and impact of software engineering improvements. In that spirit, the SEI has made all of its SOA Migration, Adoption and Reuse Technique (SMART) resources freely available.

 

 

SEI Virtual Event Showcases Value of System Quality Attributes

On January 16, 2013, senior researchers from the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) hosted “Architecting in a Complex World.” The live, three-hour virtual event attracted more than 1,000 registered participants from 60 countries. The SEI researchers explored ways to overcome challenging aspects of complexity.

 

 

Forbes, Intel Highlight Recent SEI Books

Two SEI books published in 2012 have recently earned favorable notice, one from Forbes Magazine and the other from Intel Corporation.

Spotlight on the SEI

SEI Technologies Forum Draws Attendees from 52 Countries

The SEI Technologies Forum, a virtual event hosted by the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute (SEI) on October 20, drew more than 700 participants from five continents and 52 countries from around the globe. Attendees engaged with experts and were introduced to state-of-the-art work in the fields of cloud computing, insider threat, Agile development, software architecture, security, measurement, process improvement, and acquisition.
