Polytechnic University of Madrid Announces Master of Software Assurance Degree Program

The Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) and a consortium of public and private companies formed by INTECO, Everis Group, and Cisco Systems, brought to Europe the Master of Software Assurance from the CERT Division of the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) at Carnegie Mellon University, with the first offering scheduled for the next academic year (2014/2015). This Master's degree program is endorsed by and a collaborative effort with the CERT Division of the SEI. This program focuses on assuring the functionality, dependability, and security of software and systems, based on the concept of defending against cyberattacks proactively rather than reactively, and responds to the strong demand for qualified professionals to address the risks in cybersecurity.
