June 3, 2010—The IEEE Computer Society recently announced that Infosys Technologies Ltd., headquartered in Bangalore, India, has received the 2009 Software Process Achievement Award "for establishing an extremely cost-effective, sustained, and culturally integrated quality and productivity improvement program during a period of extraordinary corporate growth."

Co-sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society and the Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute, the award is given each year to recognize outstanding achievement in improving the software process. The award was announced at the recent International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE).
