The Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) is designed to provide benchmark quality ratings relative to Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) models and the People CMM. The SCAMPI Method Definition Document (MDD) describes the requirements, activities, and practices associated with the processes that compose the SCAMPI method. The MDD also contains precise descriptions of the method’s context, concepts, and architecture.
CMMI for Acquisition (CMMI-ACQ) Primer, Version 1.3
This primer identifies practices that are most effective and efficient for projects acquiring products and services. Focusing on project-level improvement, the primer selects a subset of practices from the CMMI for Acquisition (CMMI-ACQ) model. These practices include monitoring and controlling suppliers and contractors as well as ensuring repeatedly effective execution of product and service development and service delivery. After using this primer, readers will be able to expand their use of the best practices on their acquisition projects, and their organizations will be positioned to explore the use of the CMMI-ACQ model.
A Framework for Evaluating Common Operating Environments: Piloting, Lessons Learned, and Opportunities

This report explores the interdependencies among common language, business goals, and software architecture as the basis for a common framework for conducting evaluations of software technical solutions. It also describes the SEI's experience piloting this framework, which integrated commercial technologies, customized open-source systems, and legacy systems, and the insights gained from the project. As described in the report, those insights have enabled the SEI to further refine the framework to make it reusable and applicable for a variety of technical solutions.
