Become an SEI Partner for CMMI

The SEI is seeking qualified organizations to become SEI Partners for delivery of introductory training courses from the Capability Maturity Model Integration and for delivering SCAMPI Appraisal services.

Here are the requirements for becoming an SEI Partner for CMMI for CMMI courses, SCAMPI Appraisals, and SCAMPI High Maturity Appraisals.

Requirements for Partnering for CMMI courses

Courses

Sponsored individuals must attend the following SEI courses. You may attend course offerings from the SEI or from SEI Partners:

  • Introduction to CMMI (3 days)
    This course introduces systems and software engineering managers and practitioners, appraisal team members, and process group (e.g., SEPG, EPG) members to CMMI fundamental concepts.

  • Intermediate Concepts of CMMI v1.2 (5 days)
    (passing score on exit examination required)
    This course introduces candidate SCAMPI Lead Appraisers, candidate CMMI instructors, systems and software engineers, engineering process group (e.g., EPG, SEPG) members, and others to detailed CMMI concepts, including the relationships among CMMI model components.

  • CMMI Version 1.2 Instructor Training (3 days)
    (passing score on entrance examination required)
    This course introduces those interested in becoming SEI-authorized Introduction to CMMI Version 1.2 course instructors to details of the CMMI models and the Introduction to CMMI Version 1.2 course.

Requirements for Partnering for SCAMPI Appraisals

Courses

Sponsored individuals must attend the following SEI courses. You may attend course offerings from the SEI or from SEI Partners:

  • Introduction to CMMI (3 days)
    This course introduces systems and software engineering managers and practitioners, appraisal team members, and process group (e.g., SEPG, EPG) members to CMMI fundamental concepts.

  • Acquisition Supplement for CMMI v1.2 (1 day)
    (required for Partners interested in offering SCAMPI-ACQ Appraisals)
    This course introduces acquisition managers and practitioners, appraisal team members, and process group (e.g., SEPG, EPG) members to CMMI fundamental concepts related to acquisition.

  • Services Supplement for CMMI v1.2 (1 day)
    (required for Partners interested in offering SCAMPI-SVC Appraisals)

    This course introduces service providers, appraisal team members, and process group members to CMMI fundamental concepts related to service delivery.

  • SCAMPI Lead Appraiser Training (5 days)
    This course introduces those interested in becoming authorized SCAMPI A Lead Appraisers to the Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) method V1.2.

Obtain SCAMPI Lead Appraiser Certification
(Partners who are interested in offering SCAMPI-ACQ or SCAMPI-SVC Appraisals must earn Certification in SCAMPI-ACQ or SCAMPI-SVC.)
