The SEI is seeking qualified organizations to become SEI Partners for delivery of introductory training courses from the Capability Maturity Model® Integration.
SEI Partners who offer these introductory courses -- Introduction to CMMI-SE/SW, Continuous and Introduction to CMMI-SE/SW, Staged -- will be in the forefront of improving the way that organizations perform systems engineering and software engineering.
Application: Interested organizations may apply on this Web site.
Agreement: The License Agreement defines the responsibilities of both the SEI and the SEI Partner. Before any negotiations can take place, the organization must be a candidate SEI Partner by successfully completing the application review process. Once your application has been reviewed and your organization has been accepted as a candidate SEI Partner, you will be asked to sign the agreement.
The application review process is to select applicants whose applications best reflect the ideal qualities of an SEI Partner, including:
- The ability to provide the highest quality training and consulting services and include quality assurance measures for those services.
- Demonstrated ability to transition technology practices in commercial settings, including competence in organizational change management.
- The financial ability to sponsor candidates through the authorization process, to effectively market CMMI services to their target market, and to make other investments that may be necessary to achieve their business plans.
- An interest in providing or a plan to provide CMMI services in parts of the world that may currently be under-served and in languages that may currently be under-represented in our current pool of SEI Partners.
Deadline: At present there is no application deadline.
Eligibility: This opportunity is open to a) U.S. and international organizations in industry and academia and b) U.S. government organizations for U.S. government use.
Pricing: The following tables show the fees associated with becoming an SEI Partner from U.S. and international organizations in industry and academia for delivering Introduction to CMMI-SE/SW courses (U.S. government organizations may contact the SEI at cmmi-partner-info@sei.cmu.edu for pricing information.) Fees are effective through September 30, 2004. After that date, these fees may change at the discretion of the SEI.

"Point to point" covers the time spent traveling to and from the observation site. | Additional SEI Technical Assistance and Guidance | |||||||||
| The fee for additional SEI technical assistance and guidance will be billed at the SEI's then current rate for any technical guidance and/or candidate remedial support provided by the SEI relative to the adoption of the CMMI Product Suite by the SEI Partner. The current daily rate for additional assistance is $1800 charged point-to-point, plus any travel expenses. Point-to-point covers time spent traveling to and from the support site. Any additional courses provided by the SEI will be provided at the published SEI course prices. | |||||||||
