SEMA Product Suite: Prices

This Web page lists the fees to be paid by SEI Partners under SEMA Product Suite License Agreements with the Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute.
Qualification Process Fees
Instructor Training Fees
Implementing Goal-Driven Measurement Instructor Training:

Observation Fee
The fee for the SEMA Product Suite observation will be billed at the SEI's current daily rate for observations at the time of the observation. The current daily rate for the SEMA Product Suite observations is $2,250, charged point to point, plus travel, living, and other expenses. "Point-to-point" covers the time spent traveling to and from the observation site. The observation fee will also include time spent on pre-observation preparation, on-site observation, and post-observation support. SEI will invoice Agreement Partner for any observation after the observation is performed; payment will be due 30 days from date of invoice. SEI will provide a non-binding estimate of the observation charges in advance of the observation.
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Agreement, in the event Agreement Partner cancels or reschedules any observation, Agreement Partner shall reimburse SEI for SEI’s costs which are directly attributable to SEI terminating its third party commitments which are related to any such observation. Agreement Partner may request, and SEI will provide, reasonable documentation concerning the aforementioned terminated third party commitments.
Additional SEI Technical Assistance and Guidance
The fee for additional SEI technical assistance and guidance will be billed at the SEI's current rate for any technical guidance and/or candidate remedial support provided by the SEI relative to the use of the SEMA Product Suite by the SEI Partner. The current daily rate for additional assistance is $2,250 charged point-to-point, plus any travel expenses. Point-to-point covers time spent traveling to and from the support site. SEI will invoice Agreement Partner for any technical assistance or remedial support; payment will be due 30 days from date of invoice. Any additional courses provided by the SEI will be provided at the published SEI course prices.
Annual Support Fees
Annual SEMA Product Suite Partner Fee:
SEMA Product Suite Partners will be invoiced $1,000 annually on October 1. Payment will be due 30 days from date of invoice.
SEI-Certified Implementing Goal-Driven Measurement Instructors
Annual support fees shall be due for each SEI-Certified Instructor and Certification Candidate for whom Agreement Partner is the primary sponsor. Annual support fees for Certification Candidates shall be due upon the extension of an individual's instructor candidacy (entry into a grace period for completion of the performance assessment). SEI will issue invoices for annual support fees, payment will be due 30 days from date of invoice.
- with permanent residency in the U.S.: $750 per person
- with permanent residency outside the U.S.: $900 per person
SEI-Certified Improving Process Performance using Six Sigma Instructors

Use Fees
The course use fees are due from Agreement Partner for each Course Participant who attends part or all of any SEMA Product Suite course delivered by or on behalf of Agreement Partner 30 days from date of invoice.

- courses conducted outside the U.S.: $72 per participant
Implementing Goal-Driven Measurement (tailored workshop version)
- courses conducted in the U.S.: $1,250 per course offering
- courses conducted outside the U.S.: $1,500 per course offering
Improving Process Performance using Six Sigma
- courses conducted in the U.S.: $100 per participant
