Software Architecture Product Suite: Prices

This Web page lists the fees to be paid by SEI Partners under Software Architecture Product Suite License Agreements with the Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute.

Qualification Process Fees

Organizational Fee

Agreement Partner will be assessed and will pay a $1,000 annual organizational fee.  The SEI will issue an invoice for annual organizational fees upon execution of the License Agreement and each year thereafter and payment will be due 30 days from the date of the invoice

Instructor Training Fees

Software Architecture: Principles and Practices Instructor Training:

The current fee for the Self-Study Instructor Training Materials is $2,500.
 As part of Instructor Trainingforthe Software Architecture: Principles and Practices course, each Certification Candidate will receive the following material:

  • Instructor’s Notes/Guide
  • Instructional Video
  • Reference Materials
  • Change Request Form

SEI will issue invoices for Instructor fees, payment will be due 30 days from date of invoice

Evaluation Fee

The current daily rate for the Software Architecture Product Suite evaluation is $5,000. Agreement Partner pays all Certification Candidates  travel expenses to travel to the SEI and all applicable evaluation fees. SEI will invoice Agreement Partner for any evaluation after the evaluation is performed; payment will be due 30 days from date of invoice.

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Agreement, in the event Agreement Partner cancels or reschedules any evaluation, Agreement Partner shall reimburse SEI for SEI’s costs which are directly attributable to SEI having to terminate its third party commitments which are related to any such evaluation. Agreement Partner may request, and SEI will provide, reasonable documentation concerning the aforementioned terminated third party commitments.

Additional SEI Technical Assistance and Guidance

The fee for additional SEI technical assistance and guidance will be billed at the SEI's current rate for any technical guidance and/or candidate remedial support provided by the SEI relative to the adoption of the Software Architecture Product Suite by the SEI Partner. The current daily rate for additional assistance is $2,250 charged point-to-point, plus any travel expenses. Point-to-point covers time spent traveling to and from the support site. Any additional courses provided by the SEI will be provided at the published SEI course prices. 

Annual Support Fees

SEI-Certified Software Architecture: Principles and Practices Instructors

  • with permanent residency inside the U.S.:   $2,500 per person
    with permanent residency outside the U.S.: $3,750 per person

Annual support fees shall be due for each SEI-Certified Instructor for whom Agreement Partner is the primary sponsor.  Annual support for Certification Candidates shall be due upon the extension of an individual’s instructor candidacy (entry into a grace period for completion of the performance assessment).  SEI will issue invoices for annual support fees, payment will be due 30 days from date of invoice.

 

Use Fees       

Software Architecture: Principles and Practices course:
Courses conducted inside the U.S.:   $80 per Course Participant
Courses conducted outside the U.S.: $100 per Course Participant

The course use fees are due from Agreement Partner for each Course Participant who attends part or all of any Software Architecture Product Suite course delivered by or on behalf of Agreement Partner within 30 days of the delivery of such course.
