Software Engineering Institute Carnegie Mellon

Become an SEI Partner for the Delivery of TSP Services

The SEI is seeking qualified organizations to become SEI Partners for providing Team Software Process (TSP) services. These services include both training and coaching services.

SEI Partners who provide TSP services can help an organization train and build self-directed pure software teams or integrated product teams from 3 to 20 engineers. Because the TSP is highly scalable, it provides benefits for large projects, small projects, multiple-team projects, geographically distributed projects, projects involving more than one organization, and projects with a few hundred developers. Engineers who use the TSP can plan and track their work, establish goals, and own their processes and plans.

Agreement

The License Agreement defines the responsibilities of both the SEI and the SEI Partner. Before any negotiations can take place, the organization must be a candidate SEI Partner by successfully completing the application review process. Once your application has been reviewed and your organization has been accepted as a candidate SEI Partner, you will be asked to sign the agreement.

The application review process is to select applicants whose applications best reflect the ideal qualities of an SEI Partner, including:

  • The ability to provide the highest quality training and consulting services and include quality assurance measures for those services.
  • Demonstrated ability to transition technology practices in commercial settings, including
  • The financial ability to sponsor candidates through the qualification process, to effectively market TSP technology and services to their target market and/or or to effectively introduce and implement TSP technology and services into their organizations, and to make other investments that may be necessary to achieve their business plans.
  • An interest in providing or a plan to provide TSP services in parts of the world that may currently be under-served and in languages that may currently be under-represented in our current pool of SEI Partners.
