Course Description

 

This three-day course introduces those interested in become SEI-authorized Introduction to the People CMM course instructors to details of the People Capability Maturity Model®(People CMM®) version 2.0. The candidate instructors must have an evident in-depth understanding of the People CMM as well as effective facilitation skills to satisfactorily complete this course.

The course is composed of lectures, participant presentations of the Introduction to the People CMM course material and work assignments. After successfully completing the course, participants will qualify as candidate Introduction to the People CMM course instructors. To become authorized candidate Introduction to the People CMM course instructors must be observed by a qualified observing instructor and receive a satisfactory evaluation. Authorized instructors may teach the Introduction to the People CMM course within their own organizations or in other organizations, depending on their sponsoring organization's licensing agreement with the SEI.

This course is a prerequisite for becoming an SEI-authorized Introduction to the People CMM course instructor.

  • have successfully completed the Intermediate Concepts of People CMM course

Course Work
Participants must teach Introduction to the People CMM modules as part of the course, which typically requires preparation outside of class.

One-month prior to the course, participants will receive a study guide and course materials.
