Madhav Panwar is a Senior Level Technologist at the US Government Accountability Office (a part of the US Congress) in Washington, DC. He has over 25 years experience in systems engineering, acquisition, software engineering, and program management.
Prior to working at the US GAO Mr. Panwar was at the US Department of Defense working as a systems engineer where he was responsible for the software for the Marine Corps AH-1 helicopter. Later he managed the Navy's airborne software upgrades for various platforms.
In his current job Mr. Panwar's responsibilities include auditing complex and large acquisition and systems integration efforts, evaluating program cost and schedule performance as well as appraising the software, engineering, and acquisition capabilities of various government entities.
Mr. Panwar is a CMMI Appraiser and has conducted numerous appraisals using the CMM, SA-CMM, CMMI and the CMMI-ACQ. Mr. Panwar has a MS in Computer Science from California and an undergraduate engineering degree from Columbia University in New York, USA.
