To inspire implementable ideas, world-renowned experts and a panel of your peers discussed critical questions in three focus areas: 

Architecture

Creating robust, flexible architectures within real world pressures and constraints is a critical core competency for any organization that builds or acquires software-intensive systems.

Critical Questions:

• "How can our organization build a software architecture that contributes to a positive development outcome?"
• "What are the benefits of taking the time to properly design, implement, document, and evaluate a software architecture?"

Process Improvement

Process improvement addresses the reference models, standards, and other methodologies for any organization that needs to address particular problems in engineering management, acquisition, delivery, and workforce development.

Critical Questions:

• "What are the best practices being used to deliver quality software solutions that meet user needs?"
• "How can I improve my organization’s process to achieve high performance without sacrificing agility?"

Security 

Software security achieves better software, better systems, and better systems management.  Identifying ways for any organization to improve the security and overall quality of software helps to minimize potential threats and ensure secure networked computing systems.

Critical Questions:

• "What security threats and preventative practices should I be aware of to resist attacks on my networked systems?"
• "How do we limit damage and ensure continuity of critical services in spite of attacks, accidents, or failures?"
