5-7 June 2012 | Madrid Spain
Thank you for your interest in submitting an abstract for SEPG Europe 2012. It is because of your dedication to knowledge-sharing that we are able to help hundreds of professionals from around the world experience ¡A Passion for Process!
The call for participation is currently closed and the SEPG Europe 2012 Program Committee is reviewing the abstracts.
Selected speakers will be notified on 27 February 2012 and presentation materials will be due on 1 May 2012.
New for 2012, we are pleased to offer all presenters an opportunity to submit papers for review and acceptance both for an SEI Special Report and additional inclusion as an article in IEEE Software magazine, both to be published after the SEPG Europe 2012 conference.
Individuals whose papers have been accepted for consideration will be notified on 1 February 2012, papers are due for review on 18 March 2012, and final papers must be submitted for inclusion in the SEI Special Report by 1 May 2012.
Primary presenters for all types of presentations will pay a discounted rate of $795, which represents a $550 discount off our published full-conference rates. Presenters’ names, affiliations, and abstracts will be published on the SEPG Europe 2012 website, printed program, and signage.
The Call for Participation system, as well as other elements of the SEPG Europe 2012 online experience, is being hosted by Omnipress.
What does this mean for you? If your abstract is selected, you'll be able to log into Omnipress’s Speaker Resource Center (SRC) throughout the remainder of the pre-conference planning process to complete any required speaker tasks. The SRC will provide a timeline of when materials are due, will allow you to submit your materials online, and will maintain a current status report of what tasks you will need to complete.
The SEPG Europe 2012 technical program will be comprised of five primary session types.
These are 40-minute sessions with a maximum of one primary presenter and one co-presenter. Only the primary presenter is eligible for the speaker discount at registration.
For these 90-minute sessions, we ask that there be a maximum of four people presenting, including one panel moderator who actually makes the abstract submission. In the online submission process, the panel moderator should be listed first as "Primary Presenter," and the other panelists should be listed as "Co-Presenter." Up to four panelists, including the panel moderator, are eligible for the speaker discount at registration.
For these 90-minute sessions, we ask that there be no more than one primary presenter. Mini-tutorials must include at least two hands-on exercises for the delegates. Only the primary presenter is eligible for the speaker discount at registration.
These are half conference day sessions and allow a maximum of one primary presenter and one co-presenter per session. Only the primary presenter will be eligible to receive the discounted speaker registration fee. Half-day tutorials must include at least three hands-on exercises for the delegates.
These are full conference day sessions and allow a maximum of one primary presenter and two co-presenters per session. Only the primary presenter and one co-presenter will be eligible to receive the discounted speaker registration fee. Full-day tutorials must include at least four hands-on exercises for the delegates.
When submitting your presentation abstract, you will be required to indicate whether you are interested in participating in a possible paper submission for an SEI Special Report, if accepted.
