Important Update Regarding SEPG North America 2013 and the SEPG Conference Series

In 1988, the SEI hosted a small workshop attended by approximately 30 process improvement professionals. Since then, this workshop has grown to become the SEPG Conference Series, the leading global conference series on software and systems process management. As the SEI works with its government sponsor and Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) to transition Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)-based process improvement activities to a brand-new CMU entity, the community will be vital in creating a shared, refreshed vision for process improvement.

The new organization will serve as the host for SEPG Conference Series and will begin assuming management and operation of SEPG North America 2013. To allow for a thorough transition, the new host has postponed plans for a March 4-7, 2013 conference in Orlando, Florida, and aims to hold the conference in the fall of 2013, possibly co-located or combined with the annual CMMI Workshop. You can help shape the evolution of the SEPG Conference Series by sharing your vision for the future of SEPG at www.sepgconference.org.

The SEI has been honored to host the SEPG Conference Series since its inception and looks forward to being a contributor to the state of the practice of process improvement in the future. In accordance with its vision of leading the world to a software-enriched society, the SEI will continue to offer the software and systems engineering communities a range of other conferences including CERT FloCon, the SEI Architecture Technology User Network (SATURN) Conference, and the TSP Symposium. The SEI will continue to expand its SEI Webinar Series, podcasts, and series of focused workshops.

SEPG Asia Pacific 2012 was held on 15-16 August in Melbourne, Australia. SEPG North America 2012: Reaching New Levels of Excellence

The SEPG North America 2012: Reaching New Levels of Excellence was held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, March 12-15, 2012. SEPG Latin America 2011

SEPG Latin America 2011 was held November 2-3, 2011 in Lima, Peru, on the premises of the National Society of Industries in the business heart of the city. Sponsored by the European Software Institute and supported by the Software Engineering Institute, 2011 marked the seventh annual gathering of systems and software process improvement community of Latin America. With an emphasis on learning and networking, this year's conference offered attendees the opportunity to gain knowledge from their peers, share experiences, and develop skills to achieve better business results and reach higher performance levels.

The SEPG Latin America 2011 conference is one of the most important events taking place in the Latin American market in the field of software engineering and management practices related to the development of software and systems. The adoption of best practice models such as CMMI, PSP, TSP, ISO ITIL and other standards is a reality in many companies throughout Latin America, this is one of the markets having a greater growth in companies that are implementing these models and best practice benchmarks. SEPG Europe 2011

On 7-9 June 2011, delegates from around the world shared ideas and solutions with their global peers, emerging leaders, and noted experts in the software field in Dublin, Ireland at the 16th annual SEPG Europe conference.

Themed Global Excellence in Software and Security, this year's technical program highlighted three critical focus areas: architecture, process improvement, and security. In the 13 technical tracks, the robust conference program will present research results and business solutions to help delegates optimize their performance in every aspect of their organizations.

SEPG North America 2011

SEPG North America 2011, the premier conference on software, systems, and services process improvement, was held in Portland, Oregon, March 21-24, 2011. Attendees enjoyed tutorials, presentations, and keynote speeches on a variety of process improvement topics in this naturally beautiful, eco-friendly, culturally rich gem of a city in the Pacific Northwest. SEPG Asia-Pacific 2010

Marking the second time SEPG was held in the Asia-Pacific region and the first time the conference collaborated with NASSCOM, SEPG Asia-Pacific 2010 was held in dynamic Bangalore, India on August 17-19. The Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute presented the conference in conjunction with the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM), which is the premier trade body and the chamber of commerce of the Information Technology (IT)-Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industries in India.

SEPG Europe 2010

More than 240 software process improvements professionals from around the globe gathered in Porto, Portugal for SEPG Europe 2010 on 28 June - 2 July 2010. Process improvement, port wine, and Team Portugal were just three of the highlights from SEPG Europe 2010, which offered four days of enriching learning opportunities and networking with the Software Engineering Institute and software process improvement experts from around the world.
