The SEPG North America 2011 housing reservation website is closed and not accepting new reservations or updates to existing reservations. If you still require hotel accommodations or need to change your reservation in any manner, please contact the hotel directly.

To assist attendees with their travel plans, the SEPG conference staff is providing several additional hotel options for SEPG North America 2011 attendees who still require accommodations. The hotels listed below are within walking distance of the Oregon Convention Center. Be sure to thoroughly review the terms and conditions prior to making your reservation.

Portland’s LEED-certified Oregon Convention Center will serve as the host venue for SEPG North America 2011, the annual gathering where software and systems process champions learn about, network, and build their skills in process improvement.

Getting Around Portland

Portland prides itself on its eco-friendly accessibility. Among other public transportation options, the city boasts an economical, easy-to-use transit system. 

Portland's MAX light rail system makes getting around town easy with a free rail zone from the Doubletree Hotel to the heart of downtown Portland and the Oregon Convention Center.

The MAX light rail stops just outside the Doubletree Hotel  Portland (Lloyd Center/NE 11th stop MAX station) and the Oregon Convention Center (Convention Center MAX Station) is just two (free) stops away. The MAX also offers service to and from the Portland International Airport for $2.30!

Parking

The Oregon Convention Center offers 800 spaces in its convenient onsite parking garage. For those who wish to park at the Doubletree Hotel, self-parking is available at the rate of $18 a day Sunday through Thursday and $9 a day Friday and Saturday; valet parking is available for $22 day.

Portland Attractions

There is plenty to do and see within the Portland city limits, and much of it is walkable or accessible via the TriMet public transportation system.

• Enjoy tax-free shopping at the Lloyd Center, featuring three anchor stores, 200 specialty shops, a food court, and an indoor ice rink. 
• Take a journey of the senses through Portland’s extraordinary culinary scene. Head downtown and indulge in some street food at the city’s renowned food carts. Jaunt over to the Pearl District to experience why Portland is called the “motherland of microbrews,” or ask the locals for their favorite spot to savor some culinary delights and sip wine from one of the many fine wineries in the Willamette Valley.  Portland is known for producing excellent food, beer, and wine, so make sure you don’t leave without sampling some of the local flavor. 
• Spend some time at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry where you can explore five exhibit halls, hundreds of interactive exhibits, eight laboratories, or settle in to watch a film at the five-story OMNIMAX Dome Theater.
• Explore some of Portland’s acclaimed parks and gardens: the International Rose Test Garden, Japanese Garden, Classical Chinese Garden, Tom McCall Waterfront Park, Forest Park and Mill Ends Park.
