Strategic Alternatives Analysis

Volatility in system-of-systems contexts produces unforeseen change in familiar models of governance and acquisition. This type of change results in uncertainty about long-term effects of governance decisions. The Strategic Alternatives Analysis (SAA) technique is designed to reveal the impacts of candidate governance and acquisition policies as a response to potential changes in external environment.

Using SAA, we help portfolio managers, policy makers, enterprise CIOs, and program managers examine different possible evolutions of governance and acquisition policy. Furthermore, they can extend those projections over a long-range horizon, to permit maximum flexibility in decisions made today.

SAA has been used successfully in commercial, civil government, and DoD environments.
