The SEI has performed systems-of-systems research in the areas listed below. While the SEI is no longer pursuing this work, it continues to inform current research. The work has enabled the delivery of approaches, techniques, and technologies for the interoperation of independently evolving systems of systems.

Service-Oriented Architecture Implementation

The SEI developed the service-oriented architecture implementation approach to certify web services to assure that they are not malicious to the SOA infrastructure.

SOA Migration, Analysis, and Reuse Technique

The SEI developed the SOA Migration, Analysis, and Reuse Technique, which aims to certify web services in order to assure they are not malicious to the SOA infrastructure and to accredit them in a vastly shorter period than is commonly done.
