Professional Background
Mr. Clyde G. Chittister has over 29 years of experience in the software and systems engineering fields. Mr. Chittister started his career in the field of real-time process control systems. He developed and managed the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated control systems for the transportation and building automation industries. His management experience includes management of software development, program management, corporate research and development, and division-level management. Mr. Chittister has developed and implemented both technical and business strategies for both the U.S. and international markets.
Mr. Chittister joined the SEI in 1985 and has held several senior management positions. He initiated and managed the Ada-based Software Engineering Program, Systems Program, and the Software Risk Management Program. He also managed the Industry Sector, which focuses on establishing and building relationships between the SEI and industry clients.
