Key responsibilities

The Predictable Assembly from Certifiable Components (PACC) Initiative is developing methodologies, theories and technologies to achieve predictability of system properties based on component properties. Within PACC, my current responsibilities include developing prediction theories and evaluation methods for performance; implementing performance simulations; and developing prototype Prediction Enabled Component Technologies (PECT).

Professional Background

Mr. Moreno has several years of software development experience in industry and government. The breadth of projects he has participated in includes MIS, web applications and services, electronic transaction middleware, and communication protocols in embedded software. His current research interests include predictable assembly, performance modeling and simulation, component based software engineering, aspect-oriented software development, and software engineering in general.

Before joining the SEI, he was at ITC Soluciones in Argentina, where he designed and developed multiplatform distributed systems and communication protocols for electronic transactions. Previously, he was a member of a research group at DGI (IRS equivalent in Argentina).

He has received several awards including a silver medal at the IV International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) and a Fulbright Fellowship.
