Sally Cunningham is SEI Counsel and the Director of Technology Transition Services for the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University where she directs the Institutes technology transition efforts in the areas of licensing, contracts, communications, public relations, customer relations, education, and conferences.

Professional Background
Ms. Cunningham has extensive experience in all aspects of technology transition, licensing, contracts and negotiation. She has made significant contributions in all these areas through research, training and facilitation, consulting and the development of new programs. While working in various positions, Ms. Cunningham has conducted negotiations for contracts valued at $500M annually. She has taught courses and held seminars in Copyright Law, Government Contracting, Negotiations, and Certified Professional Contract Manager exam preparation; for Defense Systems Management College and the National Contract Management Association. Cunningham worked with Middlesex Community College in Bedford, Massachusetts to establish a certificate program in government contracting. Ms. Cunningham received a BS degree in Market Research from Ferris State University, Michigan, an MBA from Wayne State University, Michigan and a JD from Duquesne University, Pennsylvania. She is a licensed attorney in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania: a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel, the National Association of College and University Attorneys, and the National Contract Management Association Pittsburgh Chapter Board of Advisors; and is a Certified Professional Contracts Manager.
