Costs and Limitations. No technology is right for every situation, and each technology has associated costs (monetary and otherwise). This section points out these limitations and costs. Some examples of the kinds of costs and limitations that a technology may possess are the following: a technology may impose an otherwise unnecessary interface standard; it might require investment in other technologies (see "Dependencies" below); it might require investment of time or money; or it may directly conflict with security or real-time requirements.
