This one-day introductory course for executives and middle managers covers the key concepts and strategy behind the SEI's new fast track to process improvement from a management perspective. The purpose of the course is to provide the foundation that managers need to achieve high performance - quickly, affordably and long term: the Accelerated Improvement Method (AIM). AIM combines the best of Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), the Team Software Process (TSP) and Six Sigma measurement and analysis techniques, and can be tailored to support an organization's business or mission goals.
Each of these components has proven to help organizations reduce costs, improve quality, and improve the predictability of schedules. By effectively combining and implementing these technologies you can enjoy accelerated and predictable process improvement, and will be better able to maintain ongoing cost and quality improvements.
This course provides an overview of the integrated technologies and describes the integrated strategy used by others in achieving high performance, fast and effectively. It covers how to manage cost, schedule and quality, using data, as well as how to successfully introduce and sustain your improvement efforts.
